SignForce makes signs, signage and BEE sense!

Random example of signage At the core of our business is the desire to provide great signs and signage with competence and attention to service. This has meant instituting in-house training schemes, skills training and signage manufacture systems to ensure you and your needs, are paramount to the company. Along the way, the management felt it important to involve the staff in achieving this objective - long before BEE or BBBEE became either fashionable or a requirement.
The company has been committed to training (functional skills and life skills) and upgrading its staff since 1999, when the then new owner introduced many progressive concepts.
The training on life skills and financial skills has enabled the SignForce workers to be able to improve their own status in their communities, earn incomes far higher than the average in the industry and take ownership of their own company.

Our focus is on producing great signage - through investment in our staff

William Velankulu and Cornelius Dlamini (director) A special Trust has been formed called, appropriately, "The SignForce staff Share Trust". This Trust owns 55% of the company - giving control of the company to its staff.
The staff members themselves convened and selected those staff members to be trained for specific management positions. This includes election of one of their members as a director of SignForce (Pty) Ltd.

Enabling effective transition to ownership

Two senior workers captured on camera on siteA necessary requirement for the transition to PDI ownership has been the funding of the share purchase by the SignForce Staff Share Trust. This has been facilitated by a combination of loans to the staff made by the previous owners.

We are currently seeking funding from appropriate bodies to assist in this process as well as fund the additional training programmes that the company would like to run to further upgrade the quality of the workers as well as assist them in the transition to their new roles.

The company has also embarked on an expansion programme and is looking to expand its team of skilled and valuable workforce. It is anticipated that through planned and controlled expansion, we will be able to further assist with the financial aspects of this transition to ownership.

This multi coloured sign clearly dsplays the client's name and the black backing at the bottom of the sign makes the multiple colours stand out. It is however important to take care when using a black background as the background can get lost in the surrounding 'noise', and the intended message may be lost into the 'noise' as well.
